Men's Golf Play in Day One of Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic

ALTOONA, Pa. - The Juniata men's golf team continued a busy opening week of fall play as they took on day one of the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic at the Sinking Valley Country Club, a par 72 course. 

Caden Hendrickson led the scoring for the Eagles with a score of 81 to finish tied for 35th. Hendrickson went +3 on the back nine, including birdies on the 10th and 17th holes. He improves on his previous best round at Sinking Valley of 86 in 2019. Kamden Clapper followed with a score of 84 to tie for 46th. Connor Krisko had a score of 88 to finish tied for 51st in a round where he went +4 on the front nine. Krisko birdied the first and 15th holes. Ethan Brown and Larry Singer tied for the final scoring spot for the Eagles, as each finished with a score of 94 to tie for 59th place. 

Juniata finished the day in 11th place with a score of 347. 

Several men's golf team members were featured as non-scoring participants in the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic. Colby Starr went 86 on the day in a round that featured a birdie on the 15th hole. Luke Boyle had a score of 90, Shawn Gamble finished the day with 93, and Nicholas McCann tallied 100. 

Juniata rounds out the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic tomorrow, Saturday, September 17, at the Summit Country Club in Cresson.
