Men's Basketball Tied for Sixth in Landmark Preseason Poll

TOWSON, Md.- The Juniata men's basketball team was tabbed tied for sixth in this season's Landmark Conference preseason poll.

Juniata received 18 points in the poll tied with Elizabethtown (18) seating them behind Catholic (26), Moravian (36), Drew (52), Susquehanna (53), and Scranton (70). The Eagles sit ahead of Goucher. 

Returners for the Eagles are seniors Zach Engle (Millheim, Pa. / Penns Valley), Jake Holsopple (Duncansville, Pa. / Hollidaysburg) and Nathan Markey (York, Pa. / Central York). Juniata also returns four juniors, Andrew Bithell (Saxton, Pa. / Tussey Mountain HS), Nate DaCanal (Johnsonburg, Pa. / Elk County Catholic), Marcus Hall (York, Pa. / Trinity) and Cameron Keck (Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro) and three sophomores, Jamel Foster (York, Pa. / Red Lion Area Senior H.S.), John Kelly (Philadelphia, Pa. / Roman Catholic High School), and Griffin LaCarte (Belle Vernon, Pa. / Belle Vernon).  The Eagles look to get impact from four incoming freshman, Filippo Baldo (Easton, Pa. / Notre Dame Green Pond H.S.), Kohl Bernarding (Cochranton, Pa. / Cochranton H.S), Nick Rigby (Huntingdon, Pa. / Huntingdon H.S.), and Charles Somerville III (Hagerstown, Md. / St. Maria Goretti H.S.)

The Eagles tip off their season Saturday November, 16th at Penn St.-Altoona at 2:00 pm.
