Men's Basketball Heads to Canada

Men's Basketball Heads to Canada

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's basketball team will be departing this evening for Canada where they will spend Wednesday through Saturday in Toronto.

"We are excited by the opportunity a trip like this provides our program," remarked head men's basketball coach Greg Curley. "As important as the ten extra practices and two games against top rate competition are to our development, the time together and the shared experience hold the most value.  Most of our guys have never been to Toronto, played internationally, or visited Niagara Falls.  Having the chance to do all these things together is a great way to jump-start the year, develop as a team, and find out about our group."

The Eagles will play two games while in Canada, Thursday at 1:00 at York University and Friday at 7:00 at the University of Guelph.

The Canadian basketball season has already started, with York having played at least nine games and the University of Guelph having played at least six games.

The team will also visit the CN Tower Friday and Niagara Falls before returning Saturday evening.
