Men’s Basketball Picked Sixth in Landmark Preseason Poll

TOWSON, MD- The Landmark Conference announced its 2014 men’s basketball preseason poll earlier on Wednesday. The Juniata men’s basketball team was picked sixth in the nine-team conference with 26 points.

 

Defending champion Scranton was selected to come in first with 80 points and eight first-place points. Catholic University was picked second in the poll with the remaining first place vote and 64 points and Susquehanna University, last year's runner-up, was voted third in the poll with 51 points. The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy finished fourth in the poll with 38 points.

 

Drew University was picked just ahead of the Eagles in fifth with 30 points. Elizabethtown College was voted seventh in its first Landmark preseason poll with 25 points. Goucher College finished eighth in the poll with 20 points and Moravian College wrapped up the poll in ninth with 17 points.

 

Juniata begins its 2014-15 season on November 15th at the Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament at Mt. Aloysius. The Eagles will play Penn-State Altoona at 6 p.m.
