Sekulski and Raymond named All-Landmark; Curley earns Coach of the Year honors

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College senior Dan Sekulski (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone Area) and junior Alex Raymond (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Altoona Area) were named to the All-Landmark Conference men's basketball teams, which were unveiled Friday.

Both Sekulski and Raymond were Second Team All-Landmark selections, and were joined on the Landmark post-season honors list by Head Coach Greg Curley and assistant coaches Nick Hager '07 and Keith Black '73, who were named the Landmark Coaching Staff of the Year.

Sekulski is averaging 11.9 points and 4.0 rebounds heading into Saturday's Landmark Conference Men's Basketball Tournament championship game against the University of Scranton. He has 896 career points and 307 career rebounds, and his 136 career steals places him fourth among Juniata's all-time career leaders.

Raymond leads the Eagles with 12.5 points per game, including a team-high 45 three-pointers.  He has 101 assists this season, and his 3.88 assists per game ranks third among Landmark Conference leaders. Raymond enters Saturday's Landmark title game with 873 career points, he ranks sixth among Juniata's all-time leaders with 269 career assists. 

In his 11th season at the helm of Juniata men's basketball, Curley has guided the 2011-12 squad to an 18-8 mark, the most wins in program history. The coach of the year award is the second for Curley; he previously won Commonwealth Conference Coach of the Year honors in 2006-07.

Juniata (18-8, 9-5 Landmark) will face Scranton in the Landmark Conference championship game on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 7:00 p.m. at the Long Center in Scranton, Pa.
