READING, Pa. – Brooklyn College forced the Juniata College men's basketball team into committing 30 turnovers while shooting better than 50.0% from the field as the Eagles dropped an 89-64 decision to the Bridges, in Saturday's consolation game of the Albright College Sheraton Holiday Invitational in Reading, Pa. 

Juniata's 30 turnovers resulted in 41 points for Brooklyn, who shot 50.8% (33-65) from the field and 40.0% (8-20) from three-point range. 

Juniata (2-9) shot an impressive 45.3% (24-53) from the floor, and outrebounded Brooklyn, 33-30. 

The Eagles were trailing Brooklyn 16-13 at the 13:28 mark of the opening half, when the Bridges went on a 10-0 run over the next two minutes to stretch their lead to double-digits, 26-13. Brooklyn's widest lead of the first half was 23 points, 51-28, following Jean-Baptiste Rich's layup with 1:28 showing in the half. 

Brooklyn (7-3) continued to control the game through the second half, with the Eagles never managing to cut the margin to inside of 20 points. 

Senior David Thompson (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) led the Eagles with 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the field, while grabbing a team-high six rebounds. Junior Ryan Jones (Coudersport, Pa./Coudersport) tallied 10 points. 

Juniata will play its final non-conference game of the season on Monday night, Jan. 5, when it hosts Grove City College at 7:00 p.m. at the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center.
