HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata field hockey team defeated Drew University, 1-0 on senior day at Knox Stadium.
The Eagles scored the lone goal seven minutes into the game. Catherine Lanigan (Parsippany, N.J. / Parsippany HS) came down the sideline from the right and passed the ball into Olivia Marker (Huntingdon, Pa. / Huntingdon Area HS) who slid the ball right past the Drew goalie.

In the third quarter the Eagles tried to extend their lead but a shot from Lanigan just inside the arch was saved by the Ranger goalie. In the 56th minute, the Eagles tried one last time to go up on Drew after Sarah Alexander (Mifflinburg, Pa. / Mifflinburg) fired a shot but it was also saved by the Ranger goalie.
It was a low shooting game as Juniata held a slight, 3-1 edge in shots over Drew.
The Eagles will host Washington & Jefferson, Wednesday, October 30th at 7PM.
