TOWSON, Md. – The Juniata field hockey team won 1-0 at Goucher, Saturday afternoon at Beldon Field.
In the last eight minutes of the game Lindsay Scholten (Holly Springs, N.C. / Brookfield) scored off a penalty corner as she fired a shot past the keeper to move the Eagles to 2-1 in conference.
Kylie Edwards (Danville, Pa. / Danville) made three saves to earn the shutout.
Juniata held an 8-6 edge in penalty corners and a 6-4 edge in shots.
Juniata returns to action tomorrow at York at 12:00.
