Eagles To Face Kean in First Round of NCAA Tournament

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata field hockey team will travel to No. 10 Kean on Wednesday to play in the first round of the NCAA's. Gamtime is 6:00.

The Eagles finished the season 13-6 overall and 5-2 in the Landmark conference.

On Saturday in the Landmark championship, the Eagles defeated No. 11 Catholic 2-1 in overtime. Katie Alexander (Mifflinburg, Pa. / Mifflinburg) scored the game winner and added an assist. Catherine Lanigan (Boonton, N.J. / Parsippany HS) scored the tying goal in regulation while Grace Alexander (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg) had the assist on the winner. K. Alexander was also named MVP for the game. 

Kean University will come into the NCAA tournament with a 19-2 record overall. On Saturday in their conference championship game, Kean lost to 2-1 to No. 4, The College of New Jersey.
