HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata field hockey team defeated Moravian 3-0, Saturday afternoon on Senior Day.
Catherine Lanigan (Boonton, N.J. / Parsippany HS) notched two goals and Katie Alexander (Mifflinburg, Pa. / Mifflinburg) scored one goal for the Eagles. Lanigan also had her first career assist.
In the 23rd minute, Lanigan scored Juniata's first goal of the game after K. Alexander took a shot which was saved by the goalie.
In the second half, Lanigan scored again for the Eagles just after a penalty corner. Two minutes later, K. Alexander scored the third goal of the game for the Eagles.
The Eagles held a 20-1 edge in shots and a 10-0 edge in penalty corners over Moravian.
The Eagles return to action on Wednesday for their last home game of the season against Washington & Jefferson at 7:00.
