Kuszmaul, Woolway Spark Eagles to Victory Over Susquehanna

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- On a rainy Wednesday evening at Knox Stadium, the Juniata field hockey team defeated Susquehanna 2-0 in conference play.

The teams were scoreless through the first half of the game. Juniata and Susquehanna continued to try to get the ball to their end, but each team's defense put up a fight. The Eagles scored two goals in the second half to get the conference victory against the River Hawks.

In the 40th minute of the game, Grace Kuszmaul (Moorestown, N.J. / Moorestown) scored on a penalty stoke. About 10 minutes later, Grace Woolway (Lewisburg, Pa. / Lewisburg Area) notched her first career goal for the Eagles off an assist by Kuszmaul to put the team up by two.  

The Eagles held a 14-3 edge in shots and a 9-8 edge in penalty corners over the River Hawks.

The Eagles return to play Saturday, October 14th at Scranton at 1:00.
