LEXINGTON, Va. - The Juniata College field hockey team couldn't complete the comeback, falling 2-1 at Washington and Lee, Sunday afternoon at the W&L Turf Field.

The Generals scored two goals in a span of four minutes to open up an early 2-0 lead over the Eagles in the first 12 minutes of the game.

Kuszmual scored in the 52nd minute to pull the Eagles within one midway through the second half. Juniata had a few more opportunities to force overtime in the final 18 minutes. Juniata forced a penalty corner with zeros showing on the clock and ended up getting shot on cage, but the Generals keeper made her 11th save to end the contest.
