HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Katie Alexander's (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg) shot that deflected off a defender and in gave Juniata a win in their season home-opener against Bridgewater, Friday evening at Knox Stadium in Huntingdon, Pa.

What Happened: The teams dueled in the midfield but Juniata held a massive edge in terms of shots, outshooting Bridgewater 10-1 in the game.

Best chance during regulation: Grace Alexander (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg) dispossessed a defender with the ball on the Bridgewater side of the field and broke towards goal. G. Alexander's shot was tipped wide as she collided with the keeper.

The Winner: The play that culminated with K. Alexander scoring started with some strong defense from Madison Miller(York, Pa./West York). A Bridgewater forward looked to be in on goal but Miller knocked the ball away and took it up field before sending a long ball that ended up with K. Alexnder.
