13 Juniata Field Hockey Players Named to ZAG Field Hockey/NFHCA National Academic Squad; Miller and Scholten Named Scholar of Distinction

CHANDLER, Ariz.- The ZAG Field Hockey/National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad on Thursday. The squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2016-17 academic year. 13 members of the Juniata Field Hockey team were selected.

 

The members of the 2016-17 squad representing Juniata are:

Sarah Alexander (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg)

Nina Berculo (Utrecht, The Netherlands/St.Bonifatius)

Catherine Lanigan (Boonton, NJ/Parsippany HS)

Olivia Marker (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area HS)

Megan Martin (Cumberland, RI/Cumberland)

Madison Miller (York, Pa./West York)

Sara Mills (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe)

Sarah More (Wilmington, Del./Mount Pleasant)

Elise Onjack (Bangor, Pa./Bangor Area)

Lindsay Scholten (Apex, N.C./Brookfield (Conn.)

Meredith Shephard (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia)

Rachel Weigel (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita)

 

More and Onjack are four-year award recipients. In addition, Miller and Scholten were named Scholar of Distinctions for maintaining a GPA of 3.90 or higher.
