Townson, Md., Juniata's field hockey team played their second double overtime match this week. The Eagles defeated Susquehanna 3-2 on Tuesday, but today's results would differ, as Juniata fell 1-0 at Goucher. The match marked the fifth time the Eagles needed extra time to finish a contest. Juniata is now 3-2 in overtime matches.

Despite dominating their opponent, the Eagles were able to walk away with the victory. The Blue and Gold had their chances, outshooting Goucher 18-7. The team allowed the Gophers to only get off one shot in the second half, two in the first ten minutes of over time, and second period of overtime. Juniata had double the amount of corners as the home team, finishing with 12. The Eagles had five corners in the first period of overtime, but were unable to capitalize on any of them. The lone goal of the game came off of Goucher's lone corner in the second period of overtime, as the Gophers were able to put one past the Juniata keeper during a scramble in fornt of the cage.

The loss moves the Eagles to 11-4 on the season and 4-2 against Landmark Conference rivals. Juniata travels to New Jersey tomorrow to take on the fourth ranked TCNJ in non-conference play.
