MADISON, N.J. – Juniata College field hockey opened scoring against No. 20 Drew University Saturday, but eventually fell 4-2 in its final Landmark Conference game of the regular season.  The Eagles (9-10, 4-2 Landmark) finished third in the league and will face Catholic University in the first round of the conference tournament.

Sophomore Sarah Bilheimer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) carried the ball from the top of the box and beat Ranger keeper CC Carlini to put Juniata up 1-0 in the 11th minute.  Drew then went on to score four straight goals, two in the first half, and two in the second, taking the 4-1 lead.

Less than two minutes after Drew's last goal, the Eagles responded.  Junior Kortney Showers (Aspers, Pa./Biglerville) punched a shot in on the far post after a save in the 57th minute, but Juniata would be unable to rally and dropped its first road game since October 5.

Junior Julianne Jones (Middleburg, Pa./Midd-West) earned a career and game-high nine saves in nearly 57 minutes in the cage.  She took on 12 of the Rangers 15 shots on goal.

Juniata now prepares for the postseason. The Eagles face Catholic in the first round on Wednesday, Nov. 6 in Washington, D.C.  They fell 2-1 to the Cardinals when the teams met last Saturday.
