HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Graduate Juniata football long snapper Jason Hovis was named to Special Teams U's 2023 All-American Watch List for Long Snappers.  
 
Hovis joins 17 others named to this year's Watch List and is among two named from the NCAA Division III level. The rest of the list includes 13 FBS players, two FCS players, and two DII players. Hovis has been Juniata's long snapper since 2019, appearing in all 30 games he has been eligible for. 

The Juniata football team begins its 2023 campaign on Saturday, September 2nd, as they travel to Gettysburg College. The team's first home contest is slated for Saturday, September 9th as they host the Empire 8's Alfred University for the Eagles' first matchup against the Saxons. Kickoff is slated for 11 am. New for the 2023 season, admission to all Juniata College football games is free.
