Reighard Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Junior Joel Reighard (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area HS) was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Football Team.

The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced their 2017 Academic All-District Football Teams on Thursday which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.  

On the field, as a defensive back Reighard recorded 40 tackles, one interception and forced one fumble. As a kicker, Reighard made nine extra points after touchdowns. 

Academically, Reighard has a 3.96 cumulative GPA. His P.O.E. is Biology.

First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America honorees to be announced in December.

The Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division. The College Division includes all NAIA, Canadian, two-year schools, and other affiliations.
