HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata football will host McDaniel on Saturday for the Eagles' annual Pink Game. Kickoff from Knox Stadium is set for 1:00 p.m.

 

The Eagles (4-3, 3-3 Centennial) are coming off a 56-17 defeat at the hands of Muhlenberg last week. Juniata had a 10-0 lead but the host Mules scored 35 unanswered points in the first half on their way to the win. Joel Reighard returned a first quarter interception 36 yards for a touchdown. Reighard led the defensive effort with eight tackles and his team-leading sixth interception. Jake Diviney also had eight tackles. Hank Coyne was 21-of-37 passing for 211 yards and one touchdown. Breault caught 10 passes for 115 yards and a score. Calvin Bembry  was the leading rusher with five carries for 30 yards.

 

McDaniel (2-5, 2-4 Centennial) found the end zone midway through the fourth quarter to top Dickinson 14-7 in a defensive battle last Saturday. Breon Herbert hauled in four passes for the Green Terror but none bigger than final one – a 58-yard touchdown grab that broke a 7-all tie. Claude Richardson led the defense with 10 tackles, including three for loss. Pat Irwin led the Red Devils with 16 tackles – one of four players to reach double-digit stops. Jimmy Turner added 14 while Ned Emala and Tyler Heisey had 12 and 10, respectively.

 

The game is the 29th meeting between Juniata and McDaniel with the Eagles holding an 15-12-1 advantage in the series. The Eagles have won the last four games in the series with the latest coming last season in Westminster, MD where Juniata prevailed 20-7.
