Bologa Named Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Senior linebacker Ryan Bologa (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) earned Centennial Conference Player of the Week honors for his defensive performance against Dickinson on Saturday. This is the first weekly honor of his career.

Bologa led the Eagles defense with nine tackles against the Red Devils. In the first quarter, Dickinson had a third and nine at their own 37-yard line. DC QB Billy Burger was sacked for a loss of 11 yards and fumbled. Bologa picked up the ball at the DC 22 and ran all the way to the end zone for Juniata's first touchdown of the day. The Eagles would go on to win 41-21.

This is the second straight home opener that Bologa has had a defensive touchdown. In last year's home opener against Grove City, he returned a fumble 21 yards for the score to give JC a 19-0 lead on its way to a 26-13 victory.
