HUNTINGDON, PA- Senior linebacker Ethan Wilt (Altoona, PA/Altoona Area) was recently honored at the 18th annual National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Central Pennsylvania Chapter scholar-athlete awards banquet. The event was held on March 22 at the Penn State Hotel and Conference Center.
Wilt was among nine college scholar-athlete winners. Others included Penn State's Ryan Keiser and St. Francis' Franklyn Williamson.
This past year, Wilt was a Centennial Conference Honorable Mention selection along with being selected as a USA College Football All-American Honorable Mention. He has been named to the Centennial Fall Academic Honor Roll the last three years.
Wilt led the Eagles last season in total tackles with 95 with 74 of them solo stops. He added two sacks and three pass breakups. He ranked ninth in NCAA Division III in solo tackles per game with 7.4. Overall, his 285 total tackles rank fourth in Juniata history.
