Udinski, Slutter Garner Centennial Player of the Week Nods

LANCASTER, PA- The Centennial Conference announced its players of the week on Sunday. Quarterback Ward Udinski (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) was named the Offensive Player of the Week while receiver Isaiah Slutter (Hawley, PA/Wallenpaupack Area) was tabbed the Special Teams Player of the Week. It is the third such weekly award for Udinski this season while it is Slutter’s first.

 

Udinski accounted for seven touchdowns as the Eagles defeated McDaniel 56-31 at Knox Field. He completed 22-of-28 passes for a career-high 469 yards and five TDs, while also rushing 13 times for 90 yards and two more scores. Udinski's TD tosses covered 48, 76, 14, 85 and 2 yards, while his scoring scampers were from 1 and 4 yards out. His 559 yards of total offense is a Centennial single-game record while the seven touchdowns responsible ties a Conference mark.

 

Slutter set the tone by returning the opening kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown as the Eagles defeated McDaniel, 56-31. His return ties for the second-longest in Centennial Conference history. He returned three kickoffs for 146 yards on the afternoon and also pulled in seven passes for 128 yards and three more scores.
