Scott Knapp Named Juniata Football’s New Offensive Coordinator

HUNTINGDON, PA- Juniata head football coach Tim Launtz has announced that Scott Knapp has been named the Eagles' new offensive coordinator. Knapp began his new position earlier this week.

"We are so very pleased that we were able to get a coach of Coach Knapp's ability," remarked Launtz. "He brings great experience and he realizes the importance of relationship building. That's what our program is built on and he has shown in his time as a college coach that he understands that it is a very huge priority."

Knapp comes to Juniata from Centennial Conference rival Susquehanna where he had been since 2008. He was most recently the quarterbacks coach since 2011. Prior to that, he had tutored the wide receivers and running backs.

"The thing that attracted me most was everything that is going on here," said Knapp. "I interviewed with Coach Launtz and was really excited about the opportunity. I think those guys have a great thing going on here and I'm looking to enhance that."

Knapp graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2008 from Division I Duquesne University, where he played football for four years. He was a two-time all-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference quarterback for Duquesne, the 2005 MAAC Offensive Rookie of the Year and a 2006 Don Hansen's Football Gazette Mid-Major honorable mention All-American.
