Two Eagles Named to 2014 Dream Bowl Centennial Preseason Team

MILLTOWN, NJ – Two members of the Juniata football team were named to the 2014 Dream Bowl Preseason Centennial All-Conference Team. Senior quarterback Ward Udinski (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) and senior offensive lineman Josh Gongloff  (Tyrone, Pa./Bellwood-Antis) are both representing the Eagles.

The Dream Bowl is the premier small college all-star game in the country and will be played during MLK weekend January 19, 2015. All senior athletes on these select teams (with no additional eligibility) have the opportunity to be a part of Dream Bowl III and the NFL/CFL Combine in Virginia Beach. Scouts from both leagues will be conducting the combine to certify the results.

Udinski passed for 2,311 yards in 2013 and ran for an additional 733 yards on the ground. He was nationally ranked in 11 different categories and earned Centennial Conference second-team honors.

Gongloff was also a second team selection a year ago. He was a part of a solid offensive line that protected the backfield all year and surrendered an average of 1.5 sacks and 15 yards a game.

The Eagles are coming off a 7-4 year in 2013 which were the most victories for the team since the 1990 season and made its first playoff appearance since 1973. Juniata kicks off its 2014 season on September 6 at Grove City.
