McDaniel Comes to Knox For Pink Game

HUNTINGDON, PA- Looking to rebound after a tough loss to Muhlenberg last week, the Juniata football team welcomes McDaniel College to Knox Field this Saturday for their annual Pink Game. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

 

The Eagles' record stands at 3-4 overall and they are 2-4 in the Centennial Conference. The Green Terror are 1-6 and winless in the conference and have dropped their last six games after winning its season opener 34-31 over Catholic on September 5.

 

Juniata fell to Muhlenberg in Allentown 42-13 in its last game. The Mules were up 35-0 before the Eagles scored their first touchdown of the afternoon. Ward Udinski (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) completed 29 out of 42 pass attempts for 267 yards and one score. Udinski was also the Eagles' leading rusher with 23 yards. Isaiah Slutter (Hawley, PA/Wallenpaupack Area) had seven receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown. Fellow wideout Kirby Breault (Elizabethtown, PA/Elizabethtown Area) also had seven catches for 103 yards. Aaron O'Brien (York, PA/York Catholic) caught six balls for 43 yards. Ryan Bologa (Douglassville, PA/Daniel Boone) led the defense with 11 tackles with Mitch Shober (Stevens, PA/Cocalico HS) adding eight tackles.

McDaniel lost a close decision to Dickinson 33-28. The Red Devils built a 13-point lead in the second half as they held on to defeat the Green Terror. Nick O'Melia led McDaniel on offense with six catches for 105 yards that included a pair of touchdowns. Matty Callahan threw for a career-best 281 yards, completing 23 of 41 passes with three touchdowns. Sean Montgomery caught six passes for 75 yards. Matt Quattrone led the defense with 11 tackles and a forced fumble. Eddie Kendall and Andy Ullman added nine stops each.

 

Juniata leads the all-time series 13-12-1 and has won the last two meetings between the two teams. The Eagles defeated the Green Terror last year in Westminster, MD 42-21.
