HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Senior Brandon Felus (Columbia, Pa./Columbia) turned enough heads at the Baltimore regional combine to earn an invite to the National Football League (NFL) Super Regional Combine at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich.  The event runs Saturday and Sunday, April 12-13, 2014 and according the NFL, "allows participants the opportunity to work out and showcase their talents in front of NFL club scouts and player personnel staff."

"It's definitely going to be shocking at first," said Felus of the size of the combine.  "But I'm just going to go into it like I did at the regional and relax.  I'm the same size if not bigger than some of these guys.  Being from Division III is not something I'm looking at. As far as I'm concerned, I can compete just as good as the guys from Division I."

The trip to Baltimore was not Felus' first rodeo.  He participated in the BeyondSportsNetwork.com Collegiate Showcase back in February before heading to the NFL's regional combine in Baltimore late last month. His numbers in Charm City were among the top out of all defensive linemen, including 31 reps in the bench press, which was close to the top 15 at the Scouting Combine.

Felus was named All-American by BeyondSportsNewtork.com and D3football.com. The 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year earned first team all-conference and ECAC all-star honors for the second consecutive season.  He finished his year ranked 13th nationally in pass sacks and 27th in tackles for a loss.  Despite being a wrecking ball on the line for the Eagles and earning all these accolades and attention, Felus has remained humble throughout the process.

"I love football," the 6-3, 265 defensive lineman added.  "I can't see myself not playing football.  It's kind of my dream to be able to make a career out of football.  The draft is unrealistic.  I'm hoping to perform well and get an invite to a camp.  At the end of these couple months, if it doesn't happen, I can say that I tried and move on with the rest of my life."

The Super Regional Combine is going to be covered by NFL Network and NFL.com.
