HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The accolades continue to pour in for Juniata College football's Brandon Felus (Columbia, Pa./Columbia).  The senior captain was named a Second-Team All-American by BeyondSportsNetwork.com on Thursday.  It marks his third postseason nod this year and the first time since 2001 an Eagle has earned All-America honors.  The last All-Americans were Josh Seiders and Paul Evans, both also coached by Tim Launtz, the current Eagle head coach.

"Brandon typifies what we talk about here at Juniata from day one," said Launtz.  "And that is individual responsibility leads to collective success.  And collective success will result in individual recognition.  Brandon came in raw and has worked hard and done what needed to be done and has been a great teammate."

Felus was recently named D3football.com First-Team All-South Region and Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year.  The two-time first-team all-conference defensive tackle led the team in sacks and finished top five in total tackles.  He finished the season ranked nationally in pass sacks and helped lead the team to its most successful season in over 20 years and only third postseason appearance in program history.

"It goes back to nothing is ever given; it's earned," added Launtz.  "Brandon earned this with his passion and his desire and his hard work."
