HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Senior Brandon Felus (Columbia, Pa./Columbia) was named to the D3football.com First-Team All-South Region, the organization announced Tuesday.  Described by head coach Tim Launtz as a dominant, physical player who leads by example, Felus is one of five Centennial Conference student-athletes to earn first-team honors.  He is also the first all-region selection under Launtz.

"He deserves this because of how hard he's worked," said Launtz.  "The effort he's put in, the individual responsibility he showed that has led to the collective success of the football program.  We're very happy that people have acknowledged what Brandon has done and what he's done for Juniata College."

The Centennial Defensive Player of the Year and two-time first-team all-conference selection finished his season ranked 13th nationally in pass sacks.  A two-time captain, Felus led the league in tackles for a loss and was 27th nationally.

He was a consistent threat on the defensive line for the Eagles, earning two D3football.com team of the week honors, and Centennial and Eastern College Athletic Conference player of the week awards.  The defensive tackle helped lead Juniata to its most successful season in over 20 years and only third postseason appearance in program history.

The all-region teams were chosen from over 250 nominations.  Click here to view the full D3football.com release.
