Maclay Named Landmark Player of the Year, Two Eagles Earn All-Conference Honors

TOWSON, Md.- The Landmark Conference released its end of the year awards, today. Isaac Maclay (Belleville, Pa. / Mifflin County High School) was named Landmark Player of the Year and named to the All-Conference first team while Ryan McClain (Hughesville, Pa. / Hughesville) was named to the All-Conference second team.

Maclay a senior first baseman, started in all 24 games with 82 at-bats for the Eagles. Maclay totaled 24 runs and 31 hits. His .396 batting average is third in the Landmark Conference. Maclay's 27 RBI and eight home runs are both second in the Landmark. He also totaled four doubles and three triples. Maclay totaled 147 putouts for a .969 fielding percentage. Earlier this season, Maclay was named Landmark Athlete of the Week and recorded three home runs in game one against Susquehanna to move to the number one spot in single-game home runs in the Juniata record book. Maclay also recorded his 100th career hit against Catholic. 

Maclay is the second Eagle baseball player to earn Rookie of the Year honors and then earn another major conference award in their senior season. Jay Enoch was named MAC Rookie of the Year in 2005 and then named Landmark Pitcher of the Year in 2008. 

McClain a senior outfielder, started in all 24 games with 78 at-bats. McClain totaled 25 runs and 30 hits. His .356 batting average is fifth in the Landmark Conference. McClain totaled seven doubles, one triple, and one home run. He also recorded 14 RBI and stole five bases. He tallied 45 putouts for a .922 fielding percentage.
