HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College baseball team beat Drew University, 3-2, in walk-off fashion in game one of the Landmark Conference doubleheader before dropping game two, 11-1, on Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles were first to get on the board as Isaac Maclay (Belleville, Pa./Mifflin County High School) started off the second inning with a single, advancing to second on an error by the center fielder. Maclay reached third on Jake Swank's (Portage, Pa./Portage) grounder to second and found his way home off Hunter Price's (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) single to left field. The Eagles remained up 1-0 until the top of the sixth when Drew hit a homerun over the center field fence.

Knotted up, JC was unable to put up another run in the bottom of the inning. Drew scored again in the top of the seventh to go ahead 2-1.

In the bottom of the seventh, Adam Kipp (Mt. Wolf, Pa./Northeastern) walked to start the inning. Maclay came up big for the Eagles, smashing a homerun to left center for an Eagle win.

Juniata was first to score in the second game of the day, Joshua Gery (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown Senior High School) reaching first on an error and advancing to second on Devyn Carper's (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) bunt down the third base line. Larry Corle (Martinsburg, Pa./Central High School) singled to second, knocking Gery home to put the Eagles up 1-0.

Drew took command of the remainder of the game, scoring six runs in the fourth, one in the sixth, and an additional four in the eighth for an 11-1 win.
