Maclay Named Rookie of the Year, Two Eagles Named to Landmark All-Conference

TOWSON, Md.- The Landmark Conference released its end of the year awards and the Juniata baseball team received some honors. Freshman, Isaac Maclay (Belleville, Pa. / Mifflin County High School) was named Rookie of the Year and named to the All-Conference second team while senior, Chris Schreder (Lititz, Pa. / Lancaster Catholic) was also named to the All-Conference second team. 

Maclay, a freshman designated hitter, hit .344 with 44 hits, seven doubles, eight homeruns, 27 RBI, 13 walks and 28 runs scored. In the field, Maclay had 23 put outs and turned three double plays. His eight homeruns were tied for second in the Landmark. His eight homers also tied for the sixth most in a single season in Juniata history. 

Schreder, a senior outfielder had a career high of 30 runs and 24 runs batted in. He led the team with 48 hits and 11 doubles. Schreder also talled three triples and four home runs. In the field, he is third on the team in put outs with 106.
