Baseball Drops First Game of Their Weekend Series at Drew

Madison, NJ-The Juniata baseball team dropped the opening game of their weekend series at Drew, 11-5, Saturday afternoon at Doc Young Field. 

Both pitchers put up zeros across the first two innings before the Rangers struck for one run in the third and five more in the fourth. 

In the top of the sixth, Chris Schreder (Lititz, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) led off with a double down the right field line. Adam Kipp (Mt. Wolf, Pa./Northeastern) singled to left center to plate Schreder. Isaac Maclay (Belleville, Pa./Mifflin County High) smashed a homer to left to halve the deficit as Juniata trailed 6-3. The Rangers scored three times in bottom half of the inning to push their lead back to six. 

RBI's from Kipp and Maclay pulled Juniata within four but Drew again matched them with two runs in the bottom half of the inning as Juniata fell 11-5. 

The teams will play a doubleheader tomorrow, starting at 12:00.
