Juniata Drops Final Game of Conference Series to Drew

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Eagles lost by a score of 18-3 in the third and final game of the series against conference opponent Drew University.

The Rangers came out swinging, putting three runs on the board in the first and seven in the second. The first runs for Juniata came in the bottom of the fourth.
 
Cameron Livingston (Blairsville, Pa./Blairsville) doubled through the left side after a ground out by Hunter Price (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area). Isaac Kline (Everett, Pa./Bedford) singled to center field, sending Livingston in to score. Devyn Carper (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) followed up with a double of his own to center field, knocking in Kline. Chris Schreder (Lititz, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) singled up the middle to send Carper home for the third and final run of the game for the Eagles.
 
The team was able to hold the Rangers at 11 runs until the top of the seventh.
 
Carper is leading the team in hits with 32 for the season. Schreder is just behind with 31 hits and a .356 batting average.
 
Juniata will play again on Wednesday away at Mt. Aloysius at 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM.
