HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Eagles dropped two to Moravian on day one of their three game series with an 11-1 loss in the game one and a 13-2 loss in game two.

Moravian jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning. The Greyhounds packed on two more in the third and kept the bats rolling the rest of the game.

Juniata came alive in the third with Devin McLaughlin's (Monmouth Beach, NJ/Shore Regional) single to center field. Shane Buss (Warrenton, Va./Highland) and Devyn Carper (Altoona, PA/Altoona Area) both put up singles of their own and were followed by Chris Schreder's (Lititz, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) hard hit to second base to send in the only RBI of the game.

Drew Harshbarger (Mount Union, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) started on the mound for the Eagles, striking out three and giving up five hits. He was relieved by Jerry Hobbs (Scranton, Pa./Old Forge) in the fourth. Hobbs gave up only one hit and struck out two.

The Eagles had their first hit in game two in the bottom of the second with a double from Isaac Kline (Everett, Pa./Bedford). Adam Kipp (Mt. Wolf, Pa./Northeastern) had a single in the third, followed by Cameron Livingston's (Blairsville, Pa./Blairsville) drive to center field in the fifth and Kevin Starner's (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) single in the sixth, but the team could not seem put one up on the board until the seventh.

In the seventh, Coy Focht (Warriors Mark, Pa./Tyrone) reached second on an error by the short stop to lead off the inning and Livingston knocked him in with a double for the Eagle's first run scored. Carper flied out to the right fielder to advance Livingston to third, and Schreder was able to send home the second and final run of the game with his single to right field.

Carper and Schreder are both at 26 hits for the season with Starner just behind at 16.

Juniata will return to the field tomorrow at noon to play their last game of the series against Moravian.
