Juniata Falls to Elizabethtown 12-4 on the Road

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Juniata College baseball could not counter a strong start by Elizabethtown College Tuesday and fell 12-4 on the road.  Juniata is now 5-15 overall while the Blue Jays improved to 11-13.

Freshman Kyle Pannebaker (Thompsontown, Pa./East Juniata) went 1-for-1 and accounted two of the Eagles four runs.  He sent a solo shot over the left field wall with one out in the top of the seventh that put Juniata on the board.  The bomb was the Eagles homer of the year.

Also earning an extra base hit was fellow freshman Anthony Lombardo (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) who knocked a double to left center right after Pannebaker's home run.  Senior Josh Green (Hagerstown, Md./Clear Spring) got the start and received the loss. He went 5 innings, striking out three and walking just one of the 31 batters faced.  Green is now 1-2 this season.

Juniata stays on the road to face Penn State Altoona on Wednesday, April 3. The teams will meet at neutral site to play a game that was rescheduled from last month due to weather.  It will be a single nine-inning game that begins at 1 p.m.
