One of the most accomplished middle hitters in Juniata women’s volleyball history, Kristin Hershey earned AVCA First team All-America honors in 1997, 1998, and 1999. She completed her career ranked third among Juniata’s all-time career kills leaders with 1,750, and was fourth among career blocks leaders with 379 following her four seasons in Blue and Gold. Her .325 career hitting percentage was third-best in Juniata history at that time, and she ranked sixth among career digs leaders with 944. Kristin tallied 638 kills in 1998, her junior season, setting a new Juniata single season record. During her sophomore and senior seasons, she dominated the middle block with 127 and 135 blocks respectively, both among the top ten single season performances at that time.

Academically, Kristin earned GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-District honors during both her junior and senior seasons, and became the fourth Juniata student-athlete to earn a prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.

Over Kristin’s four years with Juniata women’s volleyball, the Eagles won four MAC Championships, reached the NCAA semifinals all four years – twice finishing as NCAA runner-up.
