Men’s and women’s cross country run at Carnegie Mellon Invite

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Juniata men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Saturday. The women place ninth of 17 scored teams and the men finished 11th as a squad.

Caroline Morgan (Haverton, Pa./Haverford Township) led the Juniata women’s team with a 12th overall finish and finished the race in 18:56.6. Junior Katrina Woods (Shirleysburg, Pa./Mount Union) wasn’t far behind and finished 14th with an 18:59.9 time.

In the men’s race, Nathaniel Alter (Pittsburg, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) was the team’s fastest runner with a time of 27:23.3 and a 34th overall finish. Freshman Ryan Bogdan (Buffalo, N.Y./Canisius) was the next Juniata runner to cross the finish line with a time of 28:24.3 and finished 73rd overall.

The Juniata men’s and women’s squads will run at the Gettysburg Invitational next weekend.
