Juniata College Joins the College Cheerleading Safety Initiative

Return to Home

CCSI was developed and unveiled in November 2006 to further promote cheerleading safety at the college level. The initiative allows coaches, institutions, and conferences to demonstrate their commitment to safety by agreeing to and following the basic principles of AACCA safety rules while focusing on their primary role as ambassadors and spirit leaders for their respective institution. By pledging support for the CCSI, institutions agree to the following:

  • Maintain current AACCA certification status for the coaches of your cheer program.
  • Adhere to the AACCA College Cheerleading Safety Rules at all times.
  • Affirm that the squad’s primary focus will be its responsibility to generate school spirit and lead the crowd in support of the institution’s athletic teams.
